With an open-air hood you have a better view of the work while the needle is still protected.

Open Air-cap "Big" To this there is not much that I can say; glad that it exists as it does make detail work that much easier and it does avoid the accidental bending of the needle that can be very annoying if not very, very expensive. Great Stuff.
